So, by extension, are Elizabeth Peters and Barbara Michaels.
I never met her; but she was good friends with good friends of mine, and for a while I was very good friends with a number of her novels. I stopped reading the Peabodys because annoying little boy was annoying, but people tell me I should have persevered. I have been thinking of revisiting, as I think we have them all on the shelves hereabouts. [Memo to universe: please to stop doing this? I am a very happy rereader; I do not need nor want the trigger of the author's death. I'd sooner be paying tribute to the book alone.]
