When in doubt, go Bach to the text...

There is something quite bewitchingly magnificent about proofreading to Bach. The Mass in B Minor, since you ask.

And the proofreading? This year's collection of ghost stories - Phantoms at the Phil vol three. Shortly to be available from a mouse-click near you, if you can't make it to this year's gigs. Yay.

I read that as 'bewitchingly magnificat.' I need new specs. (Yes, 'specs' is a pun because I am a Sad Loser.)

In Oxford did you ever cut through the alley leading from The Dragon to Park Town? Someone painted 'BACH IS GOD' on a brick wall. A very accurate assessment, I always thought.

I can't focus on things to the Bach choral works I've sung (nor the organ stuff I've played, lo those many decades ago before my wrists quit on me). Keep wanting to sing/play along, or just get lost in the music.

The Brandenburgs as realized by Carlos, though... oh yeah.

Oh crap, that was me.

Why does LJ automagically log me out every day or so? (rhetorical question there, feel free to ignore)
