Just a bow at a venture, really - but if I happened to be in Cambridge (or thereabouts - accommodation is not determined) the weekend after next, might other people happen to be around to do fun things and so forth...?

That's very kind, and may I take a raincheck for another time? (Oh, and, you don't know George Szirtes, do you? He was my mate, years back, and he lived in Hitchin; and obviously, two people I know in the same town, they must by definition know each other...)

Actually? That would be rather lovely. With all the usual riders and provisos, but honestly I'm not a difficult houseguest. Just give me a lever and a place to stand a cat and a space to sleep in, I'll try not to be a nuisance...

Goodness, no problem. I work from home, so turn up at any time. We can provide cats and futons and food etc (although Ish may not behave, I regret).
