It is faintly possible that that third pint of coffee might have been a mistake. *twitches*
On the other hand, I have come home for lunch with a good two pages behind me, which wouldn't have happened without the extra pint, so. It was building up to be a day where I could just find no space to write, in among all the stuff in my head and outside it; but now at least Mr Kipling is having his first encounter with a Martian. Even if neither of us has any notion where this is going to lead. It's all good.
Meantime I am home, and I need to eat something. I think I shall mix up a little mayonnaise, and make a bacon-and-egg sammich. That'll agitate the boys. There is nothing in that that they will not want.
In other news, I have ordered curing salts. Home-made bacon looms. Also hamz and sossidge. Again the boys and I will beat loggerheads in conversation about this. Much like Mr Kipling and his Martian*.
*Why is it "Martian" and not "Marsian"? Does anybody know? We say "Venusian", not "Venutian"...

And yup, I so am. I have a charcoal grill, with which I can hot-smoke to some degree at least; only an hour ago I was looking at real smokers that will cold-smoke also. When we have the funds to spare, then maybe...
