As it happens, this refers to a water-glass that is determined to topple over if I so much as touch it inadvertently; but it might have been almost anything. The world is very full of things that leap to destruction the moment I come within corroborative distance, and in every single instance - science has conclusively demonstrated - it is the fault of poor design on the object's part. *nods*
Meanwhile, m'wife has gone to be bendy and stretchy at a yoga class. Left to my own devices, I am taking on the stern challenge of two bottles of steam beer (achievement unlocked!) and half a bottle of wine, to the accompaniment of E E 'Doc' Smith. Either he or his 1970s British publishers - or both - could not spell Britannia, but hey. It's nice to know that the world needs me for something.*
