desperanceI am given to understand that there is an opening here for the position of minion, if your timekeeping is up to scratch. And I do mean scratch.
I ... have not been sleeping well. Which means, in this iteration, that I am sleeping late. This morning Karen went off to work, as she does, and I fell promptly asleep again. As I don't. K had shut the boys in the back of the house, to facilitate her leaving without small furry companionship, so they couldn't even come to wake me. Which means that breffuss was forty minutes late. Forty minutes! THEY MIGHT HAVE DIED!
And now it's half noon and I am still logy. (Logey? Logie? *shrugs*) I have made a policy decision to drink (yet) more coffee, in hopes of perking up. Unlikely as it seems, this may be the first time I have deliberately elected to intake caffeine purely for its metabolic effects; mostly I drink coffee because I want coffee, not because I want stimulation. I'm a very simple soul, and take things at face value where I can. It's like writing, the way I can't talk about structure and beats and all that analytical stuff; I just tell stories, me.
*shuffles zombie-like towards the cafetiere, mouthing "Beans! Beans!"*
