Except, um, not so much, apparently. I dutifully made a recovery USB for Windows 8, and yesterday another for Windows 8.1. I just tested them both, and neither works; so I tested the installed recovery options, and they all demanded one USB or the other, and as I say...
Hey-ho. If I end up having to ditch Windows, abandon dual-booting and just installing Linux over the whole machine, can I pretend it was a deliberate act, rather than oops-I-crashed-Windows-past-recovery?
