I can haz holiday
Mar. 5th, 2009 09:15 amOoh, yesterday was Bad. With a B. As witness, I spent most of the day stressing over a minor scheduling difficulty that was in the end speedily resolved, but had already effectively cost me the day's work.
And last night? Sleep was fugitive. There are good things about sleepless nights - interesting radio about the Kepler Mission, eg - but mostly I'd rather be sleeping. (Also, the weather's turned cold again and the boys are cute when it's cold, they pack in tight on either side of me. I am the meat in a cat sandwich, which makes it hard to be restless. The less I move, the more I stiffen, the more I hurt. Ouchie.)
But! Today, I can haz holiday. I am off to Cambridge, far-fabled land of
la_marquise_de and the Marquis. The boys must cuddle up to each other (hah!). You must read about other people's staircarpets. In their absence, I urgently recommend Dragon in Chains by Daniel Fox, which you can buy from this page right here. Should you feel so inclined.
Back after the weekend. 'Til then, farewell...
