Imminent antho
Oct. 4th, 2013 08:43 amI don't remember if I announced heretofore that I'd sold a story to the BFS anthology Unexpected Journeys, edited by Juliet E McKenna - but I have. The story's called "King Harvest Has Surely Come", and is in fact the novel that I wanted to write ten years ago. Not diminished or dwindled, no: reduced in a culinary sense, boiled down. Intense.
The full table of contents is:
"A Thief in the Night" by Anne Lyle
"Seeds" by Benjamin Tate
"Steer a Pale Course" by Gail Z. Martin
"The Groppler's Harvest" by Adrian Tchaikovsky
"Oak, Broom and Meadowsweet" by Liz Williams
"The Sin Eater" by Stephen Deas
"King Harvest Has Surely Come" by Chaz Brenchley
"The Queen's Garden" by Kate Elliott
- and that is some line-up. In case you hadn't realised. I'm delighted to be in a book with these people.
Also, the cover is by Geoff Taylor, and looks like this:

You do have to belong to the British Fantasy Society to get this book; I think it's a lure. But if you do join, you get it free. How's that for luring?
