It's at times like these - when Mac is sitting in the shadows of the corner, on the printer, which is quite a formidable thing in itself; and when he's crouched and staring at me, and looking a little sinister and a little demonic and frankly pretty scary to a nervous type like me - it is at times like these, I say, that I like to remind myself that actually he's only waiting these last few minutes until it's bedtime, so that he can come through to the bedroom with me and we can play stupid games with a raggedy-chewed piece of string. For lo, he is not really the Emperor of Evil after all. He is an idiot.
