It's all about the short stuff

desperanceToday, I have:
* been invited to submit to two short story anthos, one with the most complicated brief I have ever been privileged to accept; and
* been and gone and got myself involved with a new National Short Story Day initiative (I will leave you to guess which day we chose); and
* helped to plot out a short season of events at the Lit & Phil next spring; and
* been asked to write a short non-fiction piece about a man I admire more than many another.
(Also, paid a short visit to my doctor, which blessed man has given me a repeat 'scrip for the codeine that I love, so I don't even have to ask him for it any more; and in two short sessions wrote a short fifteen hundred words of the new short novel. And shall shortly be going to bed.)
