In Which I Get Physical

Is it weird, that I - who am not in the least big and strong and chunky - actually like doing physical stuffs, when it's useful? I spent much of last evening and this afternoon helping Jeannie and Dave and Katherine haul things from the truck to the new apartment, with side trips to the storage unit; and apparently that wasn't enough for me, 'cos I've just spent the best part of another hour out in our garden, hacking back the ridiculous tomatoes.

And now we get to pretty up and go off to a cocktail/dinner party, but I think I ought to shower first. 'Cos it's nice to do physical stuffs, but then it is also nice to be clean afterwards.

(PS: weather continues utterly gorgeous, thank you for asking. And pink peppercorns grow on a pepper tree: who knew?)
