desperanceI have totally maligned, as it turns out, the Laptop of Utterable Delights. It can too detect the wi-fi, even out here in the clubhouse. There was some problem with the wireless adapter, and it couldn't find any networks at all even sat right next to our router, so it did resetting things and now it can, so that's okay. It would be mean-spirited of me to murmur that I hope this will not turn out to be a problem that recurs, wouldn't it? Given that it diagnosed and fixed it, all by its Windowy little self...
In other news, my mother-in-law has arrived, to stand guard over her daughter while I'm away next week in Wyoming, learning about the stars. And no, no, I am not at all lurking out in the clubhouse to avoid her. Mary Ellen is awesome. It's just that my study is our guest bedroom is her haven for the duration, and I have things to do, and precious little time left to do them in. And this is the machine I'll have to do them on for the next ten days, so I need to be sure it's set up and ready to go. *nods*
