My thanks to handworn for this story about the vampire-slaying of Slobodan Milosevic - my only problem is that I'm a left-brain sceptic, and the story-as-reported doesn't quite hold together. They don't claim to have dug him up; and if they didn't, if they just tried to nail him in situ, then I am suspicious (a) of the length of their stake, (b) of the accuracy of their aim, and (c) of the resistance of the (presumptive) coffin-lid. Still, it's a fab story.

It does suffer from a lack of detail. I would imagine they'd have to dig him up. There are many hits on this story, but the major news outlets haven't picked it up. Of course, fact-checking takes time.
