After a period, an era beyond mortal time, standing in the queue at the post office, I think anyone's entitled to a little subversive behaviour.
Actually, I think it was entirely charming of them to break up the relentless commercial Christmas muzak* with a rendering of "The Red Flag", to remind us gently that other political systems are also available.
It was only an instrumental, but that's okay. I sang along.
I, um, may have been a little stir-crazy - but maybe we all were. Maybe it all kicks off, here and now...
*US Christmas muzak is almost entirely dissimilar to UK Christmas muzak. Not entirely entirely - there is Bing Crosby here as there was there - but almost. I recognise very little.
