So last evening's work, as we know, was lost to sick kitty; and this morning's...?

This morning I walked a mile in the rain to deliver Mac's urine sample to the vet (I has dun pee! I can comes out of Durance Vile nao?), and then, oh, several miles in the opposite direction, in order to collect my delivery of teas from the Tea-Elf in Lincoln.* (Not sure why they call it a delivery when you have to walk miles to collect it, but hey...) While I was there I did also buy pounds of cherry tomatoes (roasted-tomato-and-garlic soup!) and also mushrooms (more soup!) and a loaf of sourdough (to eat! with soup!) and a teapot (to brew new teas! between soups!). But still, miles. Rain. Like that.

So there went this morning, quite unworked. I do still have this afternoon, of course; but my feet hurt, and my head is still full of cold, and I am without enthusiasm for the task. And I have a very comfortable sofa, and two cats, and the makings of a fine hot toddy, and a Scott Lynch to finish and no doubt other books to start, and there might be a movie on TV, and...

*Since you ask, here is a list of this round of teas. All Chinese.

Russian Caravan
Tarry Lapsang Crocodile
Gunpowder Special Temple of Heaven
Dao Ren Mountain Green
Chung Hao (my favourite jasmine)
Water Sprite Phoenix
Tea of Life (which is the house white)
