Yesterday redux
May. 25th, 2007 10:07 am...and then to follow yesterday's busy morning, there was yesterday's busy afternoon and evening, wherein I wrote five whole new pages of novella-heart (so nice to have work I could actually count again; I keep no metrics of rewrites, except where I'm generating pure new words, and I do miss being able to count off at the end of the day and feel I've done something solid) and then made space for, built and filled another bookshelf, the first one in my study. Which may not sound so much - but if you think so, you haven't seen my study. 'Made space for' is a wholly inadequate expression for the shovel-and-strain employed. Once I have done that same thing all the way around all four walls (fifteen foot on a side, more or less), I will have a whole new environment to spoil; for yes, I am a microcosm of humanity.
Who doesn't know where to put his filing-cabinets, if he's going to line all four walls with shelving.
