It seems to have been a rough night for all of us. I have two slumpy cats here: one slumped across my knees, which puts him just this side of the keyboard, while the other slumps up against the further side of that same keyboard. They are eyeing each other. If they ever locate the energy to squabble, I fear for my fiction.

For myself: still can't breathe. Breathlessness is overrated. I'm going to go batter at the doctors again. My wheezing. Let me show you it.

Shhh...

Speak it softly, but I just found both boys sharing the same narrow window-space, and not apparently fighting... not even hissing & growling (Barry, who does have a wonderful growl) and provoking (Mac, who does have a spectacularly effective provoke-mode)... just doing the sun-worship thing together, in seeming amity... Shhh...

The cats in their cute togetherness only lasted a few minutes, alas: when I passed by again, Mac had the window to himself and Barry was sunless on the stairs.

On the other hand, I can has inhaler! I went to the receptionist and did not beg, nor plead: I only asked - loudly - why my doctors hated me and wanted me to die? She was, um, prompt to disappear into the back, and swift to return with a scrip. Just for the one inhaler rather than the two I usually get, which comes expensive; but I have also made an appointment, to ask my doctor face to face why she hates me and wants me to die. I expect to come out of that with my regular repeat prescription restored, or I will know the reason why.

*is fierce in his own defence*

*is unlike Barry, who is now hiding in the kneehole of this desk, while Mac flicks his tail scornfully from the comfy chair*
