In other, cat-related news:
Aug. 6th, 2009 05:15 pmMac broke an entire dozen of eggs last night, by dint of very deliberately pushing them off the counter onto the kitchen floor.
He is the epitome of evil, and too smart for his own good. Or mine. Barry benefits, I guess. At least, I hope they shared.
How long will it be, before I remember not ever to leave eggs out on the counter? Or on the table, or the chopping-board, or...
However, he does have this very cute trick of sitting by his food-bowl when I'm in the kitchen, even when it's nowhere near tea-time. He just sits there, neat and quiet, with his tail tucked politely between his paws, drawing my attention to the emptiness that is his bowl. I am a sucker for good manners, as he knows. Too damn smart, that cat.
(And then when the catfood finally comes out he's the opposite of well-mannered, up on his hind paws and stretching above his head, scrabbling over the edge of the chopping-board for anything he can hook, which is usually orange-peel or apple-cores or onion-skins, anything that hasn't made it into the compost bin yet...)
[If anyone on DW wants to see the news to which this is other, viz a photo of my spike, they'll need to check out my LJ page, for I haven't figured out how to post photos on DW. I iz tecknolojically challinjed.]
