"I know where you are, where are you?"
Mar. 25th, 2010 09:37 amSo I woke in the middle of the night in one of those fugue states where I had absolutely no idea where I was. Lay in the dark and thought about it, couldn't work it out. Spotted a bedside light and turned it on, still had no clue. Couldn't find my glasses, which was a worry. Was just fumbling for clothes (when in strange place and feeling bewildered, get dressed: it's a safety feature, for those of us known to sleepwalk) when I spotted Barry snuggled up on yesterday's T-shirt. And knew instantly where I was, and why. I may not recognise my own house, but wherever I lay my cat, there's my home.
And Barry spent the rest of the night nestling on me instead of the T-shirt, so that's okay. It's taken a day and a half, but I am now acknowledged again as fit to be sat on.
