Here comes the sun
Sep. 28th, 2011 03:21 pmApparently it's taken this long for the sun to make it over here from California, which isn't actually but feels like the last time I saw it: but that is utterly gorgeous weather out there. A sky so clear it might've been dripped through muslin, warm teasy breeze, T-shirts and summer dresses.
So - given that we know I love the sun - why is it that I'm lurking withindoors and not even working, just sick with apprehension about everything? From my book launch at the Lit & Phil tonight (nobody's coming; all I'm getting is last-minute cancellations) to my ability to finish this novel on time or at all, to the future of rational thought and the examined life? We're all doomed, I tell you, doomed...
*waits hopefully for an Old One to come and eat his brain*
