Two conversations

"Oh, sweetie - are you in that nice new box I brought you? How clever you are!"

[two seconds later]

"Oh, sweetie - is that stupid other cat in that nice new box I brought you? How mean he is!"

Sigh. There are a million boxes in this house right now, but they both want that one now. Kerfuffles are.

One pointless question

"Oh - do you think I should give you early tea, before I go out?"

*vroom*

(But yes, I really did say it. And I really thought of it as a question; it hadn't occurred to me, until that moment.)

Whoo

I just had a phone call, from a nice man who's coming to take the cats away, on the first leg of their journey. Tomorrow morning. Suddenly it all seems very real.
