Y'all know that Ancient Egyptian lyric, right, that speaks of the two lovers divided by a river, and the crocodile on the sandbank in between?

This must be the modern recreation. In which Chaz discovers a word he does not know; and the dictionary is on the other side of the room; and there is a cat comfortably settled on his leg...

(Since you ask, the word waited on the cat. As is proper.)

If you're near a computer but not near a bookshelf.

Or I tend to just go "define: word" in Google; but in this instance I didn't have a computer either (I posted later). Stranded, I was. Which is most unusual; my reading-seats are arranged with a dictionary constantly in reach, for precisely this problem. Just, I had tidied the living-room a couple of weeks ago, and then been away, and my dictionary remains tidied, rather than sat on the sofa where it ought to be...

Tidying up is the Devil's work. There's a leaflet somewhere that I knew the location of until I tidied last week. It's probably been recycled now.
