Further to my last -

and a pot of Lava Red Hawaiian Sea Salt. Why yes, thank you for asking, I do indeed have enough sea salt already - but this is Hawaiian! *waves to [livejournal.com profile] kateelliott* It's red! It has added lava!!

I now unfortunately hear Shabba Ranks referring to you as "Mr lava lava".

Sorry.

You can buy this in the UK (and not somewhere fancy in London)? I'm surprised!

Steenberg's organic range of herbs and spices (http://www.steenbergs.co.uk/) does it in little jars (tho' not according to its website). The range is available in a posh dept-store deli; I wouldn't pay the asking price, but this was reduced (maybe it was end-of-line, and hence not on the website?). Salt doesn't exactly go off, so I grabbed one.

I've started seeing Pacific and Atlantic specialty salts in the local high-end goods discount store. I bought some plain, but I'm not as much a salt afficianado as pepper.

Mmm, pepper. I used to get all excited about Wynad's parasemawan (? sp - that's from memory, and wrong), only then a friend went to Kerala in person and came back with freshly dried peppercorns still on the vine, in clumps, like tiny bunches of grapes. To die for. Truly...
