I fail at deathmarches

No, I do. I couldn't sustain a long one last year, and I can't manage the briefest deathstagger today. I can simply not pull an all-nighter any more (I used to work nocturnally, but I've lost that altogether), and apparently I can't even organise my time for a solitary day. Crawling off to bed last night, too tired to work more but intending to be up early and work all day, I happened to glance at the wallchart that governs my schedule.

And found that I was due at a dayschool in Sunderland, from 11 till 3 today.

Don't want to miss that, because it's mostly about Chinese art.

So no: I am not going to finish the Alexandria story today. Sod it.

Still going to start the new novel tomorrow.

Also, I didn't sleep well and my head hurts.
