Mango fool

I am aware that some of my people, even some of my best people are ... not quite like me. Honestly, I do know this.

They might, for example, not enjoy cooking as much as I do. Or shopping; they might not be natural shoppers. I know.

However. Things have come to a pretty underpass, when you send a man out for papaya to go in the mutton curry, and he brings back mangoes. Mangoes. Which you do not notice, of course, until you need to cook; by which time, its being Sunday, the shops are shut and it's too late to correct.

In vengeance, I have used the extra-hot chilli powder. He'll be sorry.

In other news,

Barry has hawked up a hairball of hitherto unimagined capacity, so vast and dense it could very well have planetoids in orbit about it. In fact, it came - at tea-time - with his breakfast, virtually undigested, so I guess it had entirely blocked his pipes. Also, he has sudden and traumatic diarrhoea (which I'm only telling you 'cos I know, I have always known how to spell it). I am assuming these two, ah, matters to be connected, and so We are fasting tonight. That's the imperial We, applying to the Dark Lord only; Mac has had a sneaky private supper, nom-nom-nom, and we, as you know, have mutton curry. And mango fool. For obvious reasons, really.

Mangoes for papaya! Eeeep! & I guess he either didn't ask at the store or someone told him wrong anyway.

Poor Barry! Ours are having hairballs too--I guess it's the shedding season. Mr. B even threw one up ON Hero (we have a three-tier cat tree, & Mr. B was eating in the 2nd tier & I guess a hairball had to come up right then, & he leaned over & barfed on Hero in the bottom tier). Hero bolted & jumped up on our bed--I'm just glad she didn't shake herself, dog-style, before we could run after her w/a wet rag to wipe her clean. I'm sure you know this but just be careful that Barry isn't kept off his food for too long, since kitties can get fatty liver disease pretty quickly if they don't eat.

Yup, I just reckon a night of fasting won't do him any harm, when his interiors are as wiggly as they are just now. Let his tubes clean themselves out, and he can have breakfast in the morning.

Poor Hero! That is a truly appalling story. Truly cat-like, in its blithe disregard. Snigger...
