So I was waiting in for this copy-edit, because I am Good Like That and did not want to miss it; it was supposed to have been sent yesterday, by overnight courier.
So now, today I get the e-mail to say that it hasn't been, that the copy-editor had rush jobs on (why is mine never a priority?) and I should now expect it on the 29th. Uh-huh. And okay, I have done useful things with my waiting-in - three loads of laundry! and I cleaned the oven!! - but even so. They could, perhaps, have said this yesterday? Before I made a prisoner of myself?
