Culinary theology 101
Oct. 7th, 2008 07:47 pmAre we to assume, for the sake of argument, that omniscience is kinda like the Arisian thing about a truly competent mind being able to deduce an entire civilisation from a single artefact? Viz and more specifically, that the gods do not actually need to have tasted a thing to know exactly what it would taste like?
Because, if not, then let me tell you: they're missing a treat, up on Olympus there. This, my potato-and-celeriac puree? Food of the gods. And they've never tasted it...
It is possibly a little over-complicated for your standard household, requiring as it does entirely different preparation and treatment of both the potato and celeriac, which are only brought together in the final stretch. Nevertheless, I am here to tell you: om-nom-nom. That is all.
