Dec. 14th, 2008 03:48 pmYay. Can he have cracked the mystery of working on the laptop?
Probably not: only he has to go to Durham now, and there was this chapter he didn't want to leave unfinished, so mostly he just sat here and wrote it. Finishing things is always easy. Except, apparently, novels, when all the world is conspiring against you.
Still: only two chapters to go now, I think. Except no doubt for the ones I've forgotten, but I'll pick those up in the rewrite.
Two chapters, then: "The Game of Tat and Dragon" and "The Little Dagger that Couldn't" - and don't you just wish that I was using chapter heads, so I really could use those? But I'm not, so I can't. But I do know what's to be done, unless some new surprise should wander in. That's good. Maybe I'll finish by Xmas.
