ETA: that's in pages, obviously. The printed-out pages of the original draft, as I work through them. Counting words would just be too confusing, as I'd be comparing the new revised totals against the fixed original, and I'm cutting a lot. My notion of revision is much more cut than paste...

I know exactly what I'm doing, and it is simple and obvious; but, sheesh, trying to describe how confusing a thing could be just ends up more confusing than the thing itself. My live wordcount is shrinking, while the original remains static; zokutou would not yield a true percentage of the work achieved. No. Trust me.
