Earworms & stuff
Sep. 13th, 2006 11:40 amDo other people get earwormed by verse as well as music, or is it Just Me? All weekend I had Dorothy Parker in my head (who, if you must share headspace, makes no bad companion - but it was just 'Comment', and I had to get Jean to help me out with the third line which I couldn't remember, which is odd given that it is the core of the piece, but hey), and this morning it's Edward Lear, 'The Pobble Who Has No Toes'. Which is doubly unfortunate, as I only know the first two lines. Aaargh.
In other news: I am passing time, prior to being Out To Lunch. So I have just put two rabbits up for confit. I will probably post about this on
foodanddrink, along with the recipe for last night's mutton curry, which is not bad at all. I would at this moment be thinking something along the lines of "hmm, rabbit offal, kidneys and livers and hearts: sounds like the cue for a dish of devilled rabbit-offal on toast, perhaps with some mushrooms to lighten the load", only I am Out To Lunch today.
And m'friend Gail has just phoned, and we are Out To Theatre tonight also, which is nice.
