Actually, I wouldn't really care if we never knew what happened there, if only someone would promise that it'll never happen again; but what I really want is to plug myself in, run a diagnostic and have an engineer fix me with brand new parts. And a warranty.

I was in Durham last night, for a Eurovision party and all that that implies (food! friends! alcohol! silly conversations! bright ideas! etc). Stayed overnight with [personal profile] shewhomust and [personal profile] durham_rambler, hung round all morning talking and reading foodie stuff and solving the Guardian crossword and so forth, drove up to Newcastle en masse to go to a barbecue-party.

Halfway here, I started feeling not-very-well, with added tingle in my fingers. As we know, folks, I have neural damage that gives me pins and needles in my left hand; it has been getting better, but I'm still under treatment, so wasn't too surprised.

Then it started up in the other hand too.

By the time we reached the city it was all the way up to my elbows, almost paralysingly awful and like nothing that had ever happened to me before. A finer grade of pins and needles, sort of cramping up my arms. Eww.

I got out of the car and walked around a bit, and it passed off; so I am still thinking that it's something to do with the angle of the seat and pressure on my neck and so forth, all the usual stuff associated with a rotten spine and twenty-five years of RSI. But oh, that was very nasty indeed. I came home, rather than go on to the party; I may never get in a car again.
