desperanceMy story "Quinquereme of Nineveh" will appear in Nature magazine, the issue dated 28/01/10. Which would be, um, tomorrow. Whether that issue actually appears on the shelves tomorrow is anyone's guess. I have done what I can.
Also, I have spent the day otherwise doing little stuff: still revising the vampire short story, "Hothouse Flowers", for The Bitten Word, a vamp anthology coming from NewCon Press. Read through another 25 pages of Hidden Cities, and declined to change the title (go me! assertiveness at last!). Wrote a piece about jade for Del Rey's newsletter, to coincide with the publication of Jade Man's Skin.
I need a drink. I know, I know: that's not unusual. I need drink and better drugs. Madder music, stronger wine...
