I have lightly-smoked haddock, thoroughly-smoked kipper and mushrooms and garlic. I could make a smoked-fish risotto; or a kedgeree, a mound of jewelled rice...
*dashes off to add chillies to the smoker*
*note to self: stainless steel smoker, after ten minutes with a meths flame underneath? Hot enough to burn at first touch, oh yes it is*

As I was saying: risotto, or kedgeree...?
It's ... slightly odd, trying to type without the right index finger.
Also, my hose seems to have perished at all possible joints all at once, and watering by hand is tedious. And I'm going to need better smoking-woods. I foresee a trip to the DIY store, when I'm back from far away. (I am hoping that DIY stores sell smoking-woods, alongside their barbecues...?)
Also also, it will be no surprise to any of you that I am already dissatisfied. I want to do more better things with smoke! I want a proper cold-smoker, damn it! And a bigger hot-smoker that I can handle without burning myself, and and and...!
In the meantime, I should just arrange things better in the back yard, so I have places to put stuff. Including the oven-gloves.
