One man's ceiling is another man's floor
Jul. 24th, 2010 12:28 pmAh, bah. It's funny, in that way that raises no laughter whatsoever: the ancient off-white ceiling showed no sign of last winter's flooding-from-above. Now that I have added a lashing of fresh white, a great yellow stain is showing through, delineating just where the gutter-water sat between the plaster and the paper. In the traditional manner, it is half the size of Belgium.
I foresee a second coat. Sigh. But if one coat made it show, will a second hide it again, or the other thing...?
Also: oh, 1970s. Textured paper on the ceiling. Why...?
