Gosh. My proofs are here already. I had counted on being housebound all day, but not so; so now of course I don't quite know what to do with myself. I know something of what I have to do, but that's not quite the same thing.

In answer to your other question, I feel better this morning, thanks. Except for just not wanting to get out of bed. At all. I woke up at half five, and grudgingly forced myself to rise three hours later...

Still. Up now, okay now. I should probably make lists, or something. Weighed lists: I think I have a 10k allowance for my carry-on baggage, and the proofs will account for 2k of that. Add a kilo for the laptop and then whatever the camera weighs, and a book, and the teddy bear, and...

Well. Actually I'll be fine, of course, but right now I'm fretting.

In other news, will a UK battery charger work in France, if I plug it in via a regular UK/European plug adapter? I realise suddenly that I do not know...

You will have no problems at all with Europe - while the continent has nominally 220V and Britain nominally 240, in reality that difference is negligible - I do this all the time and have done it for fifteen years.

Also, I was wondering why you have a word limit on your luggage.

(Try 'kg' for going metric. In fact, go metric. It's logical.)

Hee. I did actually think that the "k" was looking a little odd; I shall follow your advices hereafter.

Meanwhile, I am quite taken by the notion of a word-limit on luggage. I wonder if one could negotiate extra allowance if the words were in different languages...?
