desperanceYesterday wasn't going so well, really. I hadn't slept, and I spent the day pretty much pushing at things that push back: trying to fix a big book proposal that doesn't want to be fux, trying to throw out things that (it turns out) want to stay in my house thanks, and like that.

karenmiller off the train. Today, we are going up into Northumberland, to look at castles; tomorrow Durham; last night, it is not impossible that we just sat in a restaurant and talked for four hours about books, writers, storytelling... You know. That.
