A wandering missive, it
Nov. 29th, 2010 05:31 pmI ordered a book from Amazon. It's coming via Yodel, who are a carrier new to me. So far, I'm not so much unimpressed as merely bewildered. The tracking history reads:
Date Time Location Event Details
29 Nov 2010 10:42:00 AM Hatfield HERTS GB Departure Scan
29 Nov 2010 07:30:00 AM Gateshead TYNE & WEAR GB Delay in delivery due to weather or natural disaster
28 Nov 2010 12:01:00 AM Kilmarnock AYRSHIRE GB Shipment received by carrier
It is true, we have a lot of naturally disastrous weather here right now. But it came from Kilmarnock (which is north of here, in Scotland as ever was), and tried to arrive in Gateshead and somehow failed (um, for reference, Gateshead has no airport and no railway station) - and they took it to Hatfield instead? Which is a long, long way south of here...?
