Five crap things make a post

LiveJournal continues to be crap, fifteen-plus hours after it was supposed to have a three-hour facelift; I have no notion whether this post will actually get in there, as by and large at the moment I cannot.
Amazon's delivery service of choice has just done the exact thing that Amazon promised me faithfully they would not do. As a result I now have two copies of each of the three books I ordered (irritatingly, both copies of one book are dinged), and if Amazon tries to charge me for the duplicates I will be insanely angry with them.
If not: well, I still have unnecessary spare copies of three books, at a time I'm supposed to be culling. Hey-ho.
My bank has faithfully deducted a payment from one account, and faithlessly failed to credit it to another. This is probably standard operating procedure, and I expect it'll turn up tomorrow; but in these days of instantaneous transfer, and with both accounts held (putatively) in the same building/on the same servers, I see no reason why they should get to possess my money for twenty-four hours.
My book? Is crap. And continues to be unfinished, if not unfinishable.
My work-rate? Continues to be as crap as my arithmetic.
