Could someone just invent an extra day, to slip it in between Monday and Tuesday? And could they do it quickly...?
Failing that, well. We do what we can.
I have built what I fondly refer to as The Cube: a stack of book-boxes six high, five wide, four deep. It's very neat. Roger did sums, to calculate its weight. We are trying not to think about that.
The tragedy, though, is that now I have to move every box in The Cube. They need to be sealed up and the contents inventoried, every box listed and labelled and numbered. Before first thing tomorrow morning. So far I have shifted about half of them, and my back hurts and my hands hurt, and. Yeah. Like that.
Also, it is dawning on me slowly that this computer? Is meant to be in a box and inventoried and so forth. By tomorrow morning. And then what shall I do? (Why yes, I do have other computers. That's not quite the point.)
Five days. Five more days. I can do this. I can't do everything associated with this, I'm going to leave a hell of a lot of stuff undone that ought to have been done, but still. I'll get there, and the rest we can sort out later.
Also, it'll be a hell of a lot easier when The Cube is gone.
