Feb. 5th, 2013 03:58 pmSpinach, apple, red onion, bacon salad. Dressing to the balsamic. It's hardly original, but it was not a recipe and it did go down very well.
Also, I am making new breads. Cheese and rosemary for the Superbowl party - alas, for the Superbowl! Oh my Montana and my Rice of long ago! - was really, really nice, and last night's rosemary-and-sea-salt schiacciata was pretty damn fine also. I do love baking bread; I just need more people willing to eat it.
[EtA: also, boiled cider? Is not what you'd think. We'd probably call it apple molasses, on the pomegranate model.]*
*[Not that I've got any. But a recipe I didn't make yesterday called for it, so I was wondering; and it happenstanced in an unrelated blog just now. Scales fell from my eyes. You don't take cider and boil off the alcohol, you buy it in bottles and it's a syrup of reduced apple juice.]
