My first editor was Jim's editor also; I was just musing on various stories he'd told me about the complications of that role when I saw that the BBC cited a tweet of sympathy from Gordon Giltrap. Who has not crossed my path since I saw him in concert in the early-mid '70s, when I was still at school. So for no reason but idle curiosity and because I could, I looked him up on Wiki - and whaddayaknow? Born in Brenchley...
And I was just writing this post when I was interrupted by aperson from Porlock robocall to say that the technician was on his way to fix my appliance, and please would I move all pets to a different room, and so forth. That was quite cool, actually. So long as he actually arrives...
