I have come home to a flurry of stuffs; and while much of it is to be contained within the word l*undry, or else to be expressed in units of contentment and parcelled out among cats, wife and self (I cannot speak for the turtles, I have not seen the turtles; they may be contented too), it does also need to be said that I have a new book out.

An old book. I have an old book out.

The Garden, one of my early mystery/thriller/crime novels, has been reissued by Lethe Press with this rather splendid cover:

It's available now from all your usual sources, in hard copy or for the Kindle. I'm not sure about other e-formats at this time; I'll try to find out.

Having spent so much of this summer working through the book to achieve a clean text, I have been thinking on it. I call it a mystery/thriller/crime novel, but it's really not. It's certainly not a whodunit, and it's not really even a whydunit. It's a book about damage, and survival: which, yeah. I was an expert once. It seems long ago now, as the novel does; but I'm very glad to see the book at least have a second run.

I'll put up links'n'things another time. Right now, I am engaged with perpetrating an evil trick in fiction. Oh, and baking cinnamon raisin breads. One rectangular and one round, as I cannot find my second loaf tin...
