Tee-hee. I have just given Barry his tea, just at the moment when the washing machine went into its spin cycle - at which point the whole kitchen shakes, rattles and rolls. Barry normally runs away at this point. But he had his tea, right there under his nose, and the poor boy is always sooo hungry...

He would like me to report that he was Very Brave.

Tragically, he did. I had lamb's liver for my own dinner, and it is remarkably easy to look at fresh liver and think "oh, there's just too much for me..." So he got his own little plateful. Not with the onion-and-carrot gravy, mind, nor the bubble-and-squeak. I was very firm about that.

I guess he was grateful; he deigned to come and sprawl on me after dinner. It's a habit that seems to have sprung up with the warmer weather; he's always been physically affectionate, but he wasn't much of a lap-sitter until this last week or so.

Of course. Cat logic goes "my human is hot. I need to make them hotter". Snowy loves sitting on us when we're in the garden on days like today.

So sensible that you chose not to give him the bubble and squeak. It is bad enough on the human digestive system and a cat that goes 'bubble and squeak' is a very bad thing indeed...
