Poor Tom's a cold
Nov. 25th, 2013 08:37 am(I now want to call this kold a poortom. This shows you how far gone I am.)
In fact, this kold may actually be a Merlin, progressing backwards through time. This morning I woke up with the headache I should surely have had two weeks ago, when it started.
Unless this is a cheese-hangover headache. Yesterday eleven of us in two vehicles zoomed all over Sonoma and Marin in one mighty cheese-crawl, visiting dairies and creameries. We may also have incurred oysters and hearth-baked bread.
Aaand then I koffed all night, even in my sleep. When I slept, I dreamed we were in Taiwan, a group of us on a sponsored shindig. We were based in the south (Kaohsiung, perhaps?), only then I persuaded the government to fly us up to Taipei for a couple of days before we went home. Only they zoomed us up there instantly without giving us the chance to pack our things; so I had to spend my last day inveigling a minion to help me fly back down. And when we got there, we found that of course the government had had our things packed for us and shipped up to Taipei; and so I woke up, abashed.
Karen says today is a Save The Air day, which is a positive-spin way to say that the quality out there is appalling and I should stay in if I can. I suspect I did this myself, with all that koffing. But I will be good, and stay in, and make soup. I have a pumpkin, and I'm not afraid to use it.
