desperanceToday my entire study needs to be picked up and shaken out, because Karen's mum is coming to stay from tomorrow (apparently there's some kind of holiday next week?) and this room is not at all to be considered the spare room, no - it's my room! I'm not spare! - but it is where we keep the guest bed, so. For the duration, it's Mary Ellen's room. [As a side note, it is itself a side note to the main house, a conversion from previous usage. I like to say m'wife keeps me in the garage.]
Also, I need to finish my first-pass revisions on Being Small, so that I can get it back to its editor before the deadline and thus remain in good standing in her eyes.
Also also, there is work to be done in the garden, and in the rest of the house; and I did want to make kimchi; and and and. Mostly I want to go downtown and occupy the window seat at the Bean Scene and work on m'book. But first, the study. I exhibit virtue, as a symptom of disease.
