Toothache is good for you
Jan. 30th, 2014 07:47 amThis makes two mornings in three that I have arisen with story ideas in my head. The first is about a band called the Lovely Puritan Daughters (the phrase that I woke up with: was it a band name in my dream? *shrugs*) and what happens when the line-up changes: that one is wittily titled "Grandfather's Axe", and I have started to write it.
This morning's is about an oral tradition of a different kind, where it's impossible to repeat yourself. Stories are rare, and precious. Once a telling is, the tale has gone. Speak seldom, and do not waste your words. I may not actually write that, but I do rather like the idea.
In other news, it's raining. Clearly I should have root canals more often.
