So I seem to be doing a mini local book tour of the peninsula:
Tomorrow (Wednesday) I'm reading from Being Small and Bitter Waters (and selling copies, natch) at Sunnyvale Library at 7pm;
Sunday (9th) at 3pm I'm sharing an event at Borderlands Books in San Francisco with Laurie R King;
and the following Saturday (15th) is SF/F Day at Kepler's Bookstore in Menlo Park, with luminaries and all sorts, and me besides. I'm on a panel with three of my favourite people - Pat Murphy, Ellen Klages and Marie Brennan - discussing which is better, SF or F. I, of course, will be arguing on both sides simultaneously. There's more here about the day.
In ongoing newsiments, you all know already that Being Small was reviewed in the New York Times, who said it was lovely; and that Bitter Waters had a starred review in Publishers Weekly, who called it haunting; as noted this week in Locus.
If you can't make it to an event (I understand that not everyone lives in the Bay Area: but why not? It's nice here!) but feel you might like to know more, and possibly even order a copy or two, there's more about Being Small here, including purchase links, and here for Bitter Waters.
