The state in which we are
Dec. 11th, 2014 11:00 amKaren euphemistically calls this "working from home".
I euphemistically call this "sitting on the sofa drinking coffee and reading Bear."
In truth, I am mostly listening to the rain* - which I have been mostly doing since what I euphemistically call five o'clock in the morning** - and trying to decide if I'm actually sick or not. Yesterday I was all dizzy and spacy; today I am very much here in the moment, with this headache. Oh drugs, where is thy victory?
*Rain! Scads and scads of rain! Finally, I have come to where the weather suits my clothes - except that of course I no longer have those clothes.
**Not an actual acknowledged horological timing, so much as a sense of pre-dawn darkness and looming terror: you know the very one.
