desperanceThe trouble with having my study splendidly filled with semi-organised cookery books? Is that it means all my other books had to move out to the clubhouse, which is a cold dark unfriendly walk-through-the-night away.
And I have only one more volume in the Bear trilogy to read, and I don't know what to read next; and we're hitting the road tomorrow morning (off to LA, since you ask, for an in-law family Xmas. I've never been to LA. Through LAX a couple of times, to be sure, and we skirted the city on the drive to San Diego, but actually in it, actually able to say "LA, I am in you?" Not so much), and I'm trying to pack, and aaargh! What book(s)? I have the Kindle, sure, but even so: that's just the back-up. I need physical front-up books.
Maybe I'll just raid the first few Patrick O'Brians and call it a reread holiday. Or Stephenson's Quicksilver, maybe...?
